Japan Times E-mail News Service

Each publishing day, The Japan Times transmits a free daily newsletter to more than 18,000 online subscribers listing our news stories from JT staff writers and contributors, Kyodo News and The Associated Press.

Users are requested to enter their e-mail address, age (range), sex and country as a precondition to receiving the daily Japan Times E-mail News Service.
This information is stored offline behind a firewall and used internally to appraise the needs of our online audience. We no longer request that E-mail News Service subscribers provide their names or cities.

We will not disclose our subscribers' e-mail addresses without permission from the user. Any analyses or representation of information collected for the Japan Times E-mail News Service will be carried out in aggregate nature, so as not to provide links between types of data.

Use of Materials

The right to download and store or output the materials in our sites is granted for the user's personal use only, and materials may not be reproduced in any edited form.
